My photographer friend, Kevin Cook and I arrived to ominous skies and tales of torrential downpour in downtown Charlotte. The rain made us wonder about the protesters that are in Marshall Park.  Protesters Saturday, arrived on a bus to join the Occupy Charlotte members and will be camping in the park during the DNC, according to the Charlotte Observer.  We are headed downtown to check out the protest scene.  Some protests, during the DNC are expected to have up to 15,000 people. Police from all over the country, including, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Chicago, Philadelphia, Denver, Pittsburg, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Texas and metro D.C.  The police department hasn’t released an exact number, but it is estimated that hundreds of officers arrived Saturday for DNC training.
