Spence speaks at opening of county GOP headquarters

Andrew Denney of the Columbia Daily Tribune covers GOP gubernatorial candidate Dave Spence’s visit to Columbia on Saturday. During his visit, Spence said he opposes Democratic incumbent Gov. Jay Nixon’s veto of a bill that would retroactively tax out-of-state automobile purchases by Missouri residents.

Insurance bill triggers contraception debate

Hilary Niles of the Missourian reports that insurance coverage of contraception abortion and sterilization may change if a retroactive law is pushed past Gov. Nixon’s veto this week.

East Campus explosion lawsuit settled

The Missourian reports the daughters of Carl and Merna Sneed have settled their lawsuit against Ameren Missouri. Terms of the settlement are confidential the plaintiff’s attorney Neil Johnson said.

City, Residents to Discuss Sidewalk Improvement Projects in Columbia

Devon Fasbinder of KOMU reports that there will be a meeting at 6 p.m. tonight allowing Columbia residents to discuss the new sidewalk project plan.
